Homemade Pesto Spaghetti Recipe

Pesto Sauce (without Pine Nuts): 

Ingredients: 
1) 2 cups fresh basil (loosely packed)
2) 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil 
3) 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
4) 5 cloves minced garlic
5) Salt and black pepper (to taste)

Steps: 
1) Rinse the basil leaves and pat them dry. Add them to the blender. 
2) Add lemon juice, minced garlic, and half the specified olive oil. Process the mixture. 
3) While the blender is running, add the remaining olive oil slowly. Continue blending till it's smooth. Add salt and pepper to it as per your taste. 

Pesto Spaghetti Recipe: 

Ingredients: 
1) 1/2 cup chopped onion
2) 2 tablespoons cheese
3) 3 tablespoons olive oil 
4) 3 tablespoons pesto sauce 
5) 1 packet spaghetti 
6) Salt, Pepper, Oregano, and Chili flakes (to taste)

Steps: 
1) Cook Spaghetti in a large pot of boiling water for 15 - 20 minutes.
2) In the meantime, add oil on a pan on medium flame. Add onion to it and let it cook till the onion is soft. 
3) To the onions, add the pesto sauce. Mix it well and add salt, pepper, oregano, and chili flakes as per your taste. 
4) Add cooked pasta to this mixture, along with cheese. Allow the cheese to melt and serve.
